What's gnu?
Aug. 2nd, 2014 01:29 pmHere I am popping up again. I'm mostly doing well, I think. I am now a docent at the Cuyamaca College Water Conservation Garden. It is my peaceful place. When I feel stressed I think of sitting outside the butterfly pavillion watching the myriad butterflies flit & go about their busy business. It represents goodness, hands in the dirt/nature, balm for ones soul. I love trimming the topiaries, taking care of the potted succulents, watering the succulent boxes, walking with Teaberry on Wednesday afternoons. I enjoy creating garden jewelry for the gift shop and meeting like minded people. It's all win-win.
I keep strong connections with my dear Ninja Choppers. It's a sisterhood of survivors of the destruction of early childhood education but more. Together we share, figure out and face the future. There is a bond and caring that is so special. We wish each other well and have each others back. Plus, we make our own fun.
Dating. It's so nice to have someone to share fun adventures and "wander" with. I appreciate having Jim in my life. We recently celebrated his birthday together. Next weekend comes his sons wedding events and the onslaught of his family.
My mother maintains. Susannah spreads her wings ... as she must. I can be there for both.
I feel like I need something more ... to add more meaning to my life. More volunteering? More relationships? More exercise surely. I don't know yet but I am figuring it out.
Teaberry remains a highlight. I am happy every day that we connected and became family. :o)
